Personal Essay — Jonas, Founder of STRND

The Hair Loss Rabbit Hole

I first noticed my teenage hairline giving up somewhere around the age of 25, although if I'm being honest it had probably been happening long before that.

Not to sound overly cynical, but my hair has always felt like a part of who I am, and it wasn't something I was willing to lose without putting up some sort of fight.

So, like pretty much everyone else who's ever panicked about their hair, I disappeared down the famous hair loss rabbit hole.

It didn't exactly make me wiser.

If anything, it made me more stressed.

Every forum had a different answer. Every before-and-after picture convinced me I'd either found the solution or that I was completely screwed. One minute I was optimistic, the next I was looking at old photos of myself wondering if my temples had moved another millimetre overnight.

I gave the usual things a proper shot. Dermarolling, hair oils, scalp massages — you name it. Some of it made sense, some of it didn't, but all of it felt like a hobby I never really wanted.

Eventually I landed on a fairly simple conclusion.

If this was going to work, I wanted something I could actually stick with. I didn't want to spend the next twenty years standing in front of a mirror rolling what essentially looked like a miniature lawnmower across my scalp, hoping today would somehow be the day it all turned around.

Finasteride never felt like the obvious choice for me either. I'd read enough about the potential side effects to know that I wanted to explore other options first.

So I did.

Looking back, I don't think what changed was just one product. It was finding a routine that felt sustainable enough to become part of my life instead of another phase I'd abandon after three weeks.

And that's really why STRND exists.

You can read more about the ingredients and the reasoning behind them here: the full ingredient breakdown.

Not because I think I've discovered a miracle.

I haven't.

I built it because it's the product I wish somebody had handed me when I was twenty-five. Back when I spent far too much time reading forum threads, comparing old photos of myself and somehow becoming stressed about whether the stress itself was making everything worse.

If STRND turns out to be right for you, great.

If it doesn't, that's okay too.

Just don't ignore the problem because you think you'll deal with it later.

That's exactly what I almost did.

Try STRND
